
In pre-historic European communities were pictures of women with oversized breasts normally. A familiar example is the Venus of Willendorf, one of many images with wide hips and large breasts. Objects as sacred statues, bowls and sculptures depicted with breasts out, tribes from around 15,000 BC. across Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. Many female divine figures were associated with breasts and breast milk. In images of the Phoenician goddess Astarte was depicted as a pillar of the breasts. Isis, an Egyptian goddess who was among others to perfect motherhood, was often depicted as a pharaoh gave breastfeeding.
