Uses and indications of Aloe Vera
* Minor skin burns.
* The aloe gel may improve symptoms of genital herpes and certain skin conditions such as psoriasis. Additional studies could help confirm these findings.

Apart from the care and protection of the skin, aloe is also used to:

* Supplement to the gastric system, from indigestion, irritable bowel syndrome and colitis have experienced relief taking aloe vera. The Aloe Gel is often confused with another part of the plant known as “aloe juice,” but the two substances are very different. Aloe juice (also known as aloe latex or aloe sap) is a bitter yellow liquid derived from the outer layer of the leaf of the Aloe Vera. Contains substances taken orally has powerful laxative effects. In a study of 35 men and women with constipation who took capsules containing “aloe juice” and other laxatives include psyllium (a natural substance high in fiber) experienced more frequent stools than those who received placebo. However, aloe gives painful cramps if taken frequently.

Introduction
It is native to Africa (The Congo) where there are over 300 species. Today it is cultivated mainly in South Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean. The plant is characterized by very large leaves and fleshy, configured in rosettes. Inside there is a juice leaves corresponding to a sticky sap. The flowers range from yellow to red orange in a cluster at the top of the plant.

Aloe Vera History
Throughout history, aloe vera has been used for a multitude of uses ranging from skin conditions to constipation. Although his fame is linked to skin healing, protection practices, including treatment for skin cancer in folk medicine. In the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries was one of the most widely prescribed plants, even today is one of the most popular herbs in the United States. It works so well skin healing and relieving pain that was used in Oklahoma City for victims of bombs in April 1995.

Aloe Vera Properties
The gel of the plant (Aloe) taken from the middle of the road is a popular home remedy for small cuts or minor burns or sunburn.
